Description: Asymmetrical Victorian beveled window. This is a fine window. It is designed in the “Aesthetic” style, which lasted briefly from 1875 to early 1880’s. And although it was a short-lived period, American Aesthetic influenced style for decades thereafter. Balance and artistic composition was considered to be of greater importance than the strict adherence to the long-standing rules of design symmetry. This window has some of the thickest bevels I have encountered. It casts some serious rainbows as a result. It also has a distinct look and feel of quality. Original glass and frame.
