Description: This pair of windows is made almost entirely of Venetian glass, which is my favorite type of glass. It is painstakingly mouth blown in small quantities. Venetian glass has a watery, translucent appearance which varies somewhat throughout a given sheet, giving it added character.
The blue jewels in the center of the flowers are hand faceted. These windows are actually shown here in their original setting, huge pocket sliding doors. The doors are available to the buyer for the price listed. The doors still retain their cast bronze Victorian hardware and high quality rolling wheels, which roll like a dream after 125 years! The glass panels can easily be taken out of the doors to be used as windows. We will arrange to remove them if requested. Buy one window or the pair.
