Description: Pair of windows, sold seperately or together. Richly colored Sun motif made of a variety of cathedral glass, mouth blown muff glass, cast jewels, mouth blown jewels and flash glass. The aqua colored glass and the reds are all mouth blown in one of the oldest glass making techniques known. The central jewel is not only blown but then crackled in an annealing process. The central jewel as well as the jewels in the field are backed, or plated, with a separate piece of red flashed glass. The ring of jewels surrounding the central jewel is made of well cast cabechons. Although the coloration of the field glass varies, I see no replacement pieces detected. Note that the tops of each window are slight arches. Original sturdy frame.
